Complete guide to Use Alerts

When you do this

Use Alerts when AXORIK reports an active condition, a recovery attempt or a resolved incident that needs review.

What this means

Alerts groups operational evidence into an incident lifecycle. It shows the first observation, affected service, automated attempts, downstream effects and the result so you do not repeat work already in progress.

Before you start

  • Select the correct site or use the global view when comparing sites.
  • Confirm whether the alert is Open, Acknowledged, Recovering or Resolved.
  • Check whether a protected action is already running.

Do this step by step

  1. 1Open the current alert and confirm the affected device or service.
  2. 2Read the Incident timeline from detection through the latest verification.
  3. 3Check Recovery state before taking a manual action.
  4. 4Follow Guided resolution only when automated recovery is unavailable or has stopped.
  5. 5After recovery, confirm the final evidence and resolution time.

How to know it worked

The alert is resolved with current verification evidence, or it clearly names the remaining manual action and responsible owner.

If it does not work

  • If several devices went offline together, look for the root incident and downstream relationship before acting on each alert.
  • If an alert remains open after service returns, wait for verification or use the supported review flow.
  • If recovery failed, do not repeatedly trigger the same action without reading the failure evidence.

Important

Acknowledging an alert records that it was reviewed. It does not repair the service or prove recovery.

What you will see on this page

These are the exact AXORIK sections to look for. Read them in the order shown unless the complete guide directs you to a specific finding.

1

Open alerts

Shows active conditions that still require recovery, observation or action.

2

Incident timeline

Groups detection, attempts, verification and resolution into one event history.

3

Recovery state

Distinguishes waiting, active recovery, recovered and manual intervention states.

4

Guided resolution

Provides supported next steps when remote recovery is unavailable.

Recommended workflow

Follow these steps in order. If a step is blocked, resolve it before moving to the next one.

1

Open the current incident

Confirm the affected service, device and first observation.

2

Check active recovery

Let an active protected workflow finish before issuing a competing action.

3

Read the timeline

Review every attempted action and verification result.

4

Follow the resolution

Use the guided step or escalation path only when the evidence calls for it.

Safety and interpretation

  • Not every offline device is remotely recoverable.
  • Do not repeat an action already in progress.
  • A recovered device still needs verification.
