Complete guide to Remote Setup

When you do this

Use this before booking or starting a Remote Setup session for a new site or major replacement.

What this means

Remote Setup covers remote configuration and verification. The customer or installer must complete physical mounting, power and cabling before the scheduled work begins.

Before you start

  • The supported UniFi gateway, switches and access points are installed, powered and cabled.
  • The internet connection is active and its modem or handoff details are available.
  • A computer at the site can run the AXORIK Connector.
  • The desired Wi-Fi names, user groups, guest access and IoT separation are documented.

Do this step by step

  1. 1Review the selected service package and what it includes.
  2. 2Complete the readiness checklist honestly.
  3. 3Resolve missing hardware, cabling, internet or access before scheduling.
  4. 4Attend the session or provide an authorized contact who can test service locally.
  5. 5Review the delivered summary and every recorded exception at handoff.

How to know it worked

The site passes readiness, the remote session has the required access and the handoff records the tested services and any remaining physical work.

If it does not work

  • If the ISP link is not active, reschedule configuration that depends on internet service.
  • If a device is not powered or adopted, complete the physical work before asking the remote engineer to continue.

Important

Remote Setup is a one-time service and does not include physical installation or an ongoing AXORIK subscription unless purchased separately.

What you will see on this page

These are the exact AXORIK sections to look for. Read them in the order shown unless the complete guide directs you to a specific finding.

1

Readiness

Confirms that equipment, cabling, internet and local access are ready.

2

Service scope

Shows the setup package, included work and customer responsibilities.

3

Scheduling and handoff

Moves a ready site into coordination, delivery and documented completion.

Recommended workflow

Follow these steps in order. If a step is blocked, resolve it before moving to the next one.

1

Finish physical work

Mount, power and cable the agreed gateway, switches and access points.

2

Provide access

Confirm internet service, Connector readiness and a supported UniFi console.

3

Define the outcome

Document users, devices, guest access, IoT separation and site constraints.

4

Review handoff

Verify services, record exceptions and retain the delivered network summary.

Safety and interpretation

  • Remote setup does not include physical installation.
  • Unexpected ISP or hardware restrictions may change the schedule.
  • No change begins without an agreed scope.
